Shure SE535 Sound Isolating Earphones - Metallic Bronze cheap price
Shure SE535 Metallic Bronze In Ear Headphones with Triple Drivers and Built-In 2-Way CrossoverThese are my favorite earphones. When I travel I always take my SE535 and that says a lot since I own about a dozen sets of high-end earphones. The greatest characteristic of the SE 535 are: The superb, velvety mid-range The built quality. If you ever find yourself needing to impress your boss or someone else, gifting an SE535 will make you look real good. The finish, careful manufacturing and texture of the bronzed color earpieces scream quality. The feel of the earbuds and cable - which are thick, malleable and replaceable, and the super fancy metal box they come in, makes them an unbeatable gift. Best sounding earphones by far if you are into acoustic music, female vocals and light jazz. The SE 535 earphones are made by Shure in their own factory in Asia. This guarantees the utmost quality in the manufacturing phase. They feature a 2-way crossover which divides the frequency range in two. The upper and higher mid range are directed to the single driver which is specialized in handling the highs and mids such as a tweeter and mid-range speaker would do. The other bottom part of the sound frequency, lower medium range and the low (bass) frequency, the SE535 routes to their specialized dual "woofers". Yes, they have not one, but 2 low frequency drivers which are designed and located within the earpiece to maximize bass without creating an unbalanced sound. This Shure "signature running" is what makes the "Shure sound" which competitors could never replicate. When I visited their laboratory in Evanston, Illinois some years ago everything came together and I immediately understood why something so small could sound so incredible. Research and development are not taken lightly by this almost 90 year company. The SE535 is the company's flagship. They outperform my $700 full-size headphones and actually made me stop using full-size headphones. The case they come with is also very useful and are perfect for travelling. When going through airport security I drop them inside my shoes and then I put them back in my ear canals which serve to alleviate the stress of going through airport terminals, crying babies, running route children (nothing personal - I have two kids - but I make them behave in public spaces), and flying. When flying there are always the chatty folks, with the big voice, the crying babies, the repetitive unnecessary announcements and engine noise, to all of which I find the cure in the same antidote: my SE535. If you decide to get them I hope you will love them as much as I do mine. You should give them at least 10-15 days for them to sound their best. Specially the bass which will come only after you get a good seal with them which can take some time as you must try all different ear tips included with the SE535 to find the "right" size and design for you. If you decide to buy them I also hope you will support our American, small family owned business and get them from Earphone Solutions.
